Academic Support & Advising

There are many resources at the university to help students who are thrive and succeed academically – including a dedicated academic advising office, and  several teaching support centres.

The Academic Advisor begins working with students as soon as they start their studies at Ashesi, helping set a strong foundation for academic success. This effort is supported by the Counselling, Coaching, and Academic Advising Office. The Office also helps students stay aware of any changes in academic programmes, prerequisites for courses, and general requirements for graduation.

Faculty Interns for all Classes

All classes at Ashesi have faculty interns or lab assistants who help students navigate questions and challenges they may have outside regular class hours and interactions. Interns include Ashesi alumni, who also help students navigate their journey at Ashesi.

Math Resource Centre

The Ashesi Math Resource Centre supports students with one-on-one tutoring by upper-class volunteer tutors, weekly group tutoring sessions for first-year courses, and revision sessions leading up to end-of-semester examinations.

Writing Resource Centre

The Ashesi Writing Centre helps serve the University Community by promoting both print and digital composition as a way of learning, communicating, and thinking clearly for multiple audiences.
