A Brief Guide to our Class of 2021 Virtual Commencement Ceremony

Ashesi’s 17th Commencement ceremony comes off at 11.00 AM GMT on June 5th, 2021, and will be the second of two virtual Commencement events held this year. We are excited to join the members of Ashesi’s Class of 2021 in celebrating the completion of their time as students at Ashesi. Despite hoping for in-person celebrations, we are going virtual to limit any risks to health and safety.

Commencement Class Speaker
Samuel Safo Owusu-Acheaw ’21 will be Class Speaker for the Class of 2021’s virtual ceremony this year. A Business Administration major, Samuel hopes to represent the voice of the Class of 2021, and reflect on the experiences and lessons from their time as students at Ashesi.

Livestream and Social Media
The event will be streamed live on Ashesi’s Youtube, Facebook, and Twitter channels. You are welcome to join in the celebration, share photos and videos using the hashtags #Ashesi2021 and #AshesiGrad. There will be live tweets of the event using the same hashtag.

On-Campus Photography
Due to COVID-19 protocols, graduates looking to visit campus for photography should request clearance from the Student Affairs Office.

As we approach Commencement day, additional information and updates will be shared across Ashesi’s online channels. If you have questions relating to the event, please contact: webinars@ashesi.edu.gh.
