Viasat1 Ghana has recently announced the start of its 2012 Ghana Internship Programme. The programme, developed in collaboration with Ashesi University’s Career Services Office, will give Ashesi students access and insights into the daily processes and activities that take place in a television station. In addition, Ashesi students will get to meet and learn from members of Ghana’s media community, and form meaningful relationships with them.
Assistant Career Services Director, Abigail Lartey, explains that the internship programme will allow students to “explore and develop skills in media and the creative industry that will help them expand their career options. Viasat1 is one of Ghana’s top media firms, and it is exciting to have our students work with them.”
Interns will get to work in finance and accounting, sales and marketing, television production, and the broadcasting departments of Viasat1. Students who participate in the internship programme could go on to become full-time employees at Viasat1.
