Anida Ama Acquah, Class of 2008, has been awarded the Ken and Angela Ofori-Atta Scholarship for the 2004-2005 year. Miss Acquah graduated from Wesley Girls High School in 2003 with an aggregate 9. She excelled in Math, Integrated Science, English, Social Studies, History and French. While at Wesley Girls High School, Anida was a member of the drama club and children’s rights activist. Following graduation, she worked at Ridge Church School as a teaching assistant before applying to Ashesi. Miss Acquah was also awarded a Special Grant from Ashesi University given to academic achievers graduating from top secondary schools for women.
The Ken and Angela Ofori-Atta Scholarship at Ashesi University is awarded to a female student with scholastic merit and financial need. The scholarship is designed to help her obtain a high quality liberal arts education, develop leadership skills, and receive professional skills training that will enable her to excel in the workplace.
