Hundreds of employers – from across a broad spectrum of industries – recruit interns and full-time staff from Ashesi each year. In our most recent career placement report, 96% of our graduates received placement offers from 124 recruitment organisations and graduate schools. For organisations and institutions looking to recruit from Ashesi, our annual career fairs provide a strong platform for identifying and connecting with prospective candidates within our student community.
During Ashesi career fairs, recruiters also see students in action and develop relationships across our academic departments in support of long-term engagement. With virtual and in-person events options this year, the Career Services Office at Ashesi is looking to engage a wider community of recruiters – especially those outside of Ghana.
In 2019, Ashesi received a 90% rating for career placement outcomes by the IFC’s Vitae Programme. The programme evaluates a university’s strategy for graduate employability, the quality and relevance of learning, employer engagement, career and placement services, student retention, and alumni engagement. The ambition is to foster the development of higher employability standards in emerging markets and improve student outcomes. Ashesi’s rating was one of the highest among peers globally.
