This soiree was organized on Thursday, 6th October 2011. The night started off with a ‘friendliest competition’ to determine the most sociable person. Everyone was given a track sheet to record the number of new people that they interacted with. The winner of the competition was awarded a fun prize.
The event was organized to get students to interact with themselves and also with faculty and staff who were staying over for the ‘A Day in the Life of An Ashesi student’. There was also a quiz competition on corporate Ghana and other fun things happening on campus.
The event ended off with an ‘Azonto’ (a funky Ghanaian dance) lesson from Bernard Ghartey. Gasps of shock were heard as Patrick Awuah and Kobby Graham stepped in the circle to dance the ‘azonto’. The event got people to mingle and build new contacts and friendships.
