No. The cohorts enable us to increase access to Ashesi. However, both follow the same, high-impact Ashesi curriculum and campus experience, while finishing within the standard program length.

Regardless of which intake you are applying for, you can start your application at any time within our application window. However, students looking to join the September intake must submit all documents—including exam results—by the August deadline. Students looking to join the January intake must submit all documents by the December deadline.

Yes. Students who submit full applications early for either window will get their applications reviewed and receive decisions sooner. Students applying for scholarships, for either intake, are also encouraged to apply sooner.

No. Students admitted into different cohorts will still be members of the same class, and will have shared experiences and classes. For example, students admitted in the September 2025 cohort and those admitted in the January 2026 cohort will all be members of Ashesi’s Class of 2029.

Both cohorts will graduate from their program within the standard program length. Students who complete all their academic requirements within the program length can expect to graduate by August of their graduation year. For example, students applying to Ashesi in either the September 2025 or January 2026 window, can expect to graduate by August of 2029.

Students admitted into the September cohort may request a switch to the January cohort. However, such requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis to effectively manage class sizes across the two cohorts.
