Is this a tough challenge, or a complex opportunity?

At Ashesi, students learn to seek out local problems, and to consider many angles for possible solutions. Wrestling with problems in education, water access, or healthcare, students learn teamwork and persistence. And because no one set of skills can “fix” a complex challenge, Ashesi emphasizes critical thinking and problem-solving.

Below: Ashesi graduates use diverse approaches to address critical challenges.

“I contribute something significant to my country every day”

Ashesi graduates bring to their work a mix of rigorous technical skills, out-of-the-box problem-solving, and a passion for creating progress in Africa.

Ahmad Satti, who returned to his native Sudan to build capacity and quality in microfinance, sums up the Ashesi attitude. “I am excited about my job because I know I contribute something significant to my country every day.”

Ahmad is just one of 259 Ashesi graduate success stories.
