The Center for African Popular Culture aims to strengthen African popular culture awareness through teaching and research.

The Center’s goal is to help document and advance knowledge creation in the field of African Popular Culture, from Ghana, to Africa, and then to the world. The centre is also developing intra-comparative African popular culture courses targeting undergraduate students, to deepen their awareness and appreciation of the intellectual value of the field.
