Foundations of Design and Entrepreneurship
All students at Ashesi, regardless of their major, take certain key courses across their time on campus that helps them build foundational skills in critical thinking, leadership, entrepreneurship, and ethics. The Foundations of Design and Entrepreneurship course is one of such foundational core courses, which students take in their first year. The year-long course It is a yearlong course aimed at teaching students a framework for solving problems around them, and to create businesses out of those solutions
Understand Innovation
The first semester of the class helps students build skills for innovative thinking and problem-solving, with a focus on design thinking.
Test Business Ideas
During the second semester, students launch their concepts, with the aim of establishing business viability or profitability.
Launch Your Startup
Teams may continue with promising businesses, with funding and support from Ashesi’s Entrepreneurship Centre.
