Shika was called to the Ghana Bar on Friday, 1st October 2010. She started out in private practice before branching out into the corporate world where she contributed to the telecommunications, banking and now is deploying her skills in education. She serves as the General Counsel and Company Secretary of Ashesi University.

She enjoys spending time with family and mentoring young people.
