Prince Acquaye is a full-time law lecturer in the Law and Public Policy Department at Ashesi University. His research interests are in two areas. The first is law, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence and the law. He is interested in the regulatory, ethical, and institutional implications of AI within African legal systems, including questions of accountability, data governance, access to justice, and the adaptation of legal doctrine to emerging technologies. The second area is public sector reform and governance, where he examines institutional design, state capacity, leadership, and policy implementation in African contexts. He is particularly concerned with how structural coordination challenges, bureaucratic fragmentation, and uneven territorial capacity shape development outcomes.
