Olaf Hall-Holt

Olaf Hall-Holt is a visiting Computer Science faculty member this year (2024-25, Fall and Spring) at Ashesi University. Olaf studied at Swarthmore College (B.A.), the University of Minnesota (M.S.), and Stanford University (Ph. D. in CS, with additional background in entrepreneurship and manufacturing). He has taught CS for about twenty years at St. Olaf College in Minnesota. Olaf grew up in Nigeria, studied mathematics in Budapest, worked in France, and is visiting Ghana for the seventh time. He is here with his wife, Christy, who is studying to become a hospital chaplain, providing emotional and spiritual support to patients and families who are dealing with life changing events. By God’s grace, Olaf and Christy have two grown children, Viveka and Elle.
