My name is Miriam Abade-Abugre; I prefer to be called by my first name, “Miriam”. I am a lecturer with the Ashesi Engineering Department. Teaching and research have always provided me with an opportunity for continual learning and growth. The ability to explain engineering concepts and see students understand them is always a source of great intellectual pleasure. Thus, one of my research focuses on exploring teaching and engagement strategies that make learning pleasurable to students. Other core research areas are the computational analysis and prediction of next-generation functional materials for a sustainable energy culture (e.g., tin halide perovskites for solar cell applications.
