Maame Yaa Akyiaa Mensa-Bonsu
Adjunct: Law
Maame Yaa Akyiaa Mensa-Bonsu is an Adjunct Lecturer at Ashesi University and a Lecturer at the University of Ghana, specializing in law. She has contributed to teaching key courses like Criminal Law, Gender and the Law, and Law of Contract, while also designing new academic programs and electives in Gender, Disability Rights, and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
In addition to her academic roles, Maame Yaa has significant legal experience, including her work as a Senior Associate at Ashong Benjamin & Associates, where she advised on complex legal matters. She is deeply involved in research, particularly in human rights, gender equality, and disability law, and is passionate about advocacy for disability and gender-focused reforms.
Maame Yaa holds an LL.M. from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Ghana.
