Josephine Djan (DBA)

Full-time Faculty, Economics & Business Administration

Dr Josephine Rosemary Djan holds a doctorate degree with specialization in Marketing and Sustainability from the Swiss Management Centre and is a Marketer with a PGDip from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK and has an MBA in Marketing. She is also a member of the CIM-GH. Dr. Djan has been in academia teaching Marketing and its related courses since 2010. She also leads Logistics and Process Management Unit in the BA Department with research interests in sustainable business growth for SMEs, promoting sustainability in marketing and strategy and higher education.

Dr. Djan’s teaching philosophy is to perceive every student as unique and skilful in many ways. Her philosophy is to harness these skills and talents in each student while creating a stimulating educational environment for easy access to the right information for physical, mental, emotional, and social development.

Dr. Djan has consulted and trained several SMEs in different aspects of business growth and development, innovative marketing activities, strategy development, and sales management. She has gained enormous experience in creating marketing initiatives and managing the development of new products to drive growth for these SMEs. She is a mentor to student business start-ups at Ashesi University and a business coach to many other graduates of Ashesi.
