Irene Amessouwoe

I have a Bachelor’s in economics from the University of Lomé and an MPhil in language didactics, career and training guidance, from the University of Angers (France). As a passionate and experienced teacher of French as a Foreign Language (FFL), I have in-depth expertise in new teaching methods of languages. I have a wide range of practical experience and I am also committed to inspiring my students to achieve written and oral proficiency while cultivating an authentic appreciation of the French language and its culture.
I have collaborated on the following projects with my colleague Nathalie N’guessan: Berekuso French Project (aims at helping pupils from Berekuso Junior High School with digital resources to improve their French writing and communication skills), Ashesi French Radio project (aims at producing online radio program that teaches French through music, spoken words, and short documentaries), and Cocktail d’idées (aims at promoting communication in French and networking through short debates between students from Legon, Ashesi and Alliance Française d’Accra).
I am currently serving as one of the coordinators and French reviewers of the FSPI-R project which is an exploratory study for the development of the language skills of paramedics, nurses, and doctors through a French-language offer of specialty in the field of health in Ghana.
