Hassan Wahab (PhD)

Dr. Hassan Wahab is an Associate Professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Ashesi University. He is the editor of the SoTL Africa publication, and the Race and Equality section of the Review of Religions, London. He previously worked as Senior Lecturer in the political science department at the University of Ghana, Legon; managing editor of Africa Today, a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Indiana University Press through the University’s African Studies Program; lecturer of political science, and assistant director of International Programs at Chicago State University.
Dr. Wahab obtained his first bachelor’s degree in religions and philosophy from the University of Ghana, Legon, a second bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; first master’s degree in political studies from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada; a second master’s degree in African American and African diaspora studies, and a PhD in political science from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana, USA.
