Emmanuel Bayour Basakeng is a junior majoring in Computer Engineering at Ashesi University, with a passion for justice, transparency, and inclusive leadership. As Chairperson of the Judicial and Electoral Council, he is committed to upholding the integrity of Ashesi’s student governance, ensuring fair and constitutional processes, and fostering trust between students and the council.

Emmanuel brings strong experience in leadership and decision-making, having served in various roles across campus and beyond, including leading student organizations, moderating campus-wide events, and managing impactful social projects. He is known for his critical thinking, respectful communication, and ability to listen deeply and act impartially.

Beyond student governance, Emmanuel is also passionate about technology and innovation, actively working on engineering projects, including network systems and sustainability initiatives. Through his work at JEC, he aims to protect student rights and strengthen democratic participation within the Ashesi community.
