Dr. Patrick T. Maher is a Full Professor in the School of Physical and Health Education at Nipissing University, North Bay, Ontario. He completed his PhD at Lincoln University (New Zealand) on a Commonwealth Scholarship. 

Pat is the recipient of a 3M National Teaching Fellowship (2014) as well as Fellowship from the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (2020). He is currently the Chair of the Board for Canada’s Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (STLHE), as well as a Regional Vice-President (Canada) for the International Society for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ISSOTL). Pat has taught and published widely in a variety of fields, including sustainable tourism, outdoor education, experiential learning and SoTL in higher education.
