David Sampah
Full-time Faculty, Computer Science & Information Systems
A learning technology interested in the design of technology that supports human endeavour (business processes and activities). I am highly aware of industry standards, issues and trends, particularly concerning information systems design, usability, accessibility and emerging technologies (AI), through my international experience with higher educational institutions.
As a technologist, I believe technology offers substantial support to lifelong learning, development and productivity in any field of life. Effective teaching involves using various strategies to make students understand the concepts/fundamentals of a course and apply them in all spheres of life. I place more emphasis on helping students learn and look out for opportunities where technology can supplement human effort as a contribution to making life easier. My overall teaching philosophy is based on the principle; “if you can’t explain it in simple terms to a layman, you don’t understand it well enough”(Albert Einstein).
