Amma Gyaama Kuma (PhD)

Amma holds a PhD in English from the University of Ghana, Legon. She is a BANGA and Mellon Fellow. Amma currently has a BECHS – Africa Postdoctoral Fellowship. She is a lecturer at the Department of English, University of Ghana, Legon She has facilitated teaching and learning activities in Ghanaian Literature, Research Methods, American Literature in the C20th and Beyond, Introduction to Literature, Foundation English (Writing Skills and Imaginative Writing), Literary Stylistics, Practise in Criticism, Survey in English Literature, etcetera. Amma’s current research interests include Postcolonial Literature, Ecocriticism, Medical Humanities, Trauma and Memory. She is also interested in exploring further, issues relating to contemporary African thought and opinion, novel ways to retrace the past for the future and a reclaim of the African heritage for the ultimate development of the continent.
