Alhassan Mohammed is an Electrical and Electronics Engineering major in the class of 2026. He is particularly interested in photonics, optoelectronics, and embedded systems, as these are crucial in revolutionizing renewable energy production in Africa. He is passionate about contributing meaningfully through leadership initiatives and services.

Alhassan’s exemplary service history speaks volumes about his commitment to serving. He was elected as Member of Parliament for his class, then was voted to occupy the Deputy Speaker of Parliament Position, and now has ascended to the position of Speaker of Parliament, demonstrating his dedication to fostering an inclusive and transparent decision-making environment. Alhassan champions open dialogue and respectful discourse, as these are hallmarks for all voices to be heard and valued.

Outside the scope of student governance, Alhassan flourishes as a gifted poet and spoken word artist. His powerful verses address pressing global issues like climate change, igniting community conversations and inspiring action. As a writing tutor and on-campus performer, he shares his creative energies, encouraging fellow students to discover their own voices and contribute to positive change.
