Joshua Nti
Adjunct: Engineering
Joshua Nti is an Adjunct Lecturer in Engineering at Ashesi University, where he teaches Embedded Systems and Internet of Things (IoT). He holds graduate degrees in Mechatronics Engineering from Ashesi University and ETH Zurich, and a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Energy and Natural Resources. His interdisciplinary background spans additive manufacturing, embedded systems, electronics, robotics and control, IoT-enabled sensing, computational design, and renewable-energy systems. His emerging research direction focuses on the additive manufacturing of printed circuit electronics, including digitally fabricated conductive structures, embedded sensing and circuitry, and the integration of electronics directly into additively manufactured components. This builds on his research in automated toolpath generation and support-free 3-axis additive manufacturing at ETH Zurich, which resulted in a first-author Q1 publication in the International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology. His broader interests include sustainable additive manufacturing, intelligent embedded and cyber-physical systems, IoT and sensor networks, and renewable-energy technologies. His teaching and research philosophy emphasizes hands-on engineering, interdisciplinary problem solving, and translating computational methods into practical, manufacturable systems.
