President’s Guest Speaker Series

Ashesi University presents a special session of the President’s Guest Speaker Series, focused on rethinking Africa’s economic future beyond commodity dependence. This conversation features Nana Aduna II, Akyeamehene of Akuapem and Head of the Agona Clan and Adwumako Family of Akropong, who will share insights on building resilient African economies.

Drawing from lessons in the cocoa sector and broader value creation across the continent, the session will explore pathways toward sustainable and inclusive growth. Hosted by Patrick Awuah and Emeritus Prof. Yankah, the event offers students and the wider community an opportunity to engage with ideas that challenge conventional economic models and inspire new approaches to Africa’s development.
