Economics

Africa needs good economists and sound economic policy thinking. The continent will be the world’s most populous in a generation. There is an opportunity for the continent’s economies to leverage this for growth. To achieve this, ethical, well-rounded, and competent economists are needed in government and business in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) to improve the quality of decision-making and implementation of action plans.

Ashesi’s Economics program prepares students for such impactful careers in Africa’s private, public, non-profit, and non-governmental sectors. The programme is also an excellent foundation for advanced study in Economics, Finance or Business.
