This event was held on the 29th of August 2011. It was an interesting kick off for the new campus. It was organized by Sylvia Abyinga and Chandni Khubchandani, who are all of the 2013 Class.
There was an interesting twist to the party when residents signed up to compete in the cup cake designing contest. Every participant paid a fee of ₵1 to enter. Each contestant was given a cone of icing toppings to design the cakes. Winning contestants were allowed to keep their beautifully-patterned cakes.
To determine the winners of each round, people had to shout to show their support. The participant with the loudest crowd went away with a cup cake. This event might be held again in the semester.
