This is a course in the law governing the distribution of estates i.e. inheritance. We examine the rules that govern the distribution of property under a will as well as in intestacy. Customary Law plays a strong role here and we discuss its implications. Familiarity with this area of law is critical for every lawyer as it is one of the most emotive spaces of legal practice
