LLB335 Public International Law
The course introduces students to the principles of state responsibility, responsibility of international organizations, international human rights law, diplomatic law, law of the sea and the use of force in international law. It further seeks to help students to develop certain skills and competences such as effective communication, problem solving and group work
The course will enable students to:
- Understand and apply the basic concepts of international law to real life situations
- Establish links between fundamental concepts of public international law
- Determine legal issues raised by current international events
- Carry out effective research in the field of international law using the law library and the internet
- Develop oral and written communication skills and present both oral and written legal arguments on international legal matters
