FYE 002 English Bridge (Optional)
Students will hone their reading writing skills through intensive workshops focused on developing their reading comprehension and writing clarity and concision. This optional module is for students who qualified for this module based on the first week diagnostic assessment and for any other students who would like to join the course.
Day 1: Reading workshop 1 – We Need New Names – teacher-led practicing academic sentence frames and using textual evidence for discussing and understanding the reading
Day 2: Reading workshop 2 – student-led Socratic seminar based on reading
Day 3: Writing workshop 1 – Reflective writing based on reading
Day 4: Writing workshop 2 – Share time
