Ashesi student to represent Ghana at business leadership summit

Ashesi Senior Keren Mettle-Nunoo has been selected as the female representative from Ghana to the Summit for Africa’s Young Business Leaders (SAYBL) in Washington D.C. and New York in December 2006. This year’s summit will focus discussions on the themes of “Africa as a place of opportunity” and “The challenge of leadership in Africa.” As one of SAYBL’s fourteen participants Keren will have the opportunity to meet Wall Street executives and visit some of America’s most renowned financial institutions.

The first two days of SAYBL will be held in Washington at the offices of the World Bank. The events for the remainder of the week will be held in New York City at the corporate offices of several global investment banks. SAYBL is fully sponsored by the International Finance Corporation (the private sector arm of the World Bank), Diageo Africa and Ecobank Ghana.
