Welcome to Ashesi
At the heart of Ashesi’s transformative experience is a diverse group of individuals who strive to blend rigorous academic inquiry with real-world problem solving, serve as an example of ethical, entrepreneurial leadership in Africa, and inspire change in their communities and beyond. Here are some of their stories and perspectives.

Strength in Diversity

“I have loved every second of my time as a study abroad student at Ashesi.”
Thanks to an increasing network of partners, championed by the Office of Diversity and International Programmes at Ashesi, students get to experience learning around the world while our community also welcomes many others to experience living and learning in Ghana.
Ashesi is one of four universities to join the Alliance this year, with the other three being the University of Cape Town, Singapore Management University, and the University of Melbourne.
The Ashesi – ETH Zurich joint Master’s Programme in Mechatronic Engineering, formally announced in October 2020, enables students to access a high-quality Engineering master’s education in Africa.
The partnership is part of a USAID-funded initiative which supports partnerships between US and African universities, and led to the launch of the Ashesi Venture Incubator.
