Notes To The Class of 2028

William Annoh '16

"Ashesi offers a wealth of resources—from exceptional faculty and support systems to transformative educational and career opportunities. Immerse yourself fully in this community and uphold the values of integrity, innovation, and excellence on which the University was built. Avoid any sense of entitlement and approach your time here and beyond as an alumnus with humility and gratitude."

Jadis Aganda '24

"Take on what you can handle: It is always great to be involved in as many activities as possible as you make connections and gain skills. Despite the benefits, don't take on more than you can handle. Try to explore, make new friendships and connections. However, remember to keep in touch with your connections back home. This goes a long way."

Tsatsu Agbettor '24

Cultivate a support system of friends you can rely on. Do not drive in first-year…you will know your true friends when walking with them in freshman year. It is not all books, explore new things so that you see your university experience as worth it when you look back. Do not forget to make connections and grow your network now. People will take you further than a certificate.

"Class of 2028! Welcome to Ashesi! It may seem overwhelming, but do not worry; you will get the hang of things. Make sure to make friends with both colleagues, staff and faculty. Take advantage of the opportunities you see and build your experiences. All the best and don’t keep to yourself. Ask for help when you need it."

Ewura Abena Asmah '24

"One of the biggest lessons you need to learn now is to not make good grades your entire goal. There are so many more things you need to think about. Focus on how you can reapply what you are being taught. Start building a work portfolio today, by applying for those internships/job shadowing programs."
