Call for Papers:
Ashesi Law Journal

The Ashesi Law Journal—a peer-reviewed publication dedicated to high-quality legal scholarship—is inviting submissions for its inaugural edition, scheduled for release in March 2025

We welcome original articles from legal scholars, practitioners, and policymakers that explore contemporary legal issues or the intersection of law and policy. The journal seeks to foster insightful discussions that influence public policy, governance, and justice in Africa and beyond.

Article Guidelines

  1. Length: Articles should be between 8,000 and 10,000 words, footnotes exclusive.
  2. Abstract: A 150-word abstract must accompany each submission.
  3. Citation Style: Submissions must adhere to the Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA).

Submission Guidelines

All submissions must be double-spaced, in 12-point Times New Roman font, with 1-inch margins. Submissions should include a separate cover page with the author’s name, affiliation, contact information, and a brief biography (maximum 100 words). The manuscript itself must not contain identifying information. Submissions must be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

Submissions shall be on a rolling basis. However, submissions received after December 19, 2024, will be considered for the September 2025 issue.
