Ashesi invited to participate in Fulbright Program

The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (BECA) of the United States Department of State has invited Ashesi University to participate in the prestigious Fulbright Program. The Fulbright Program, which was established in 1946 under legislation introduced by former Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas, is the United States’ flagship program for international educational exchange.

Through grants for graduate students, teachers and administrators, the Fulbright Program supports global academic and professional development, and facilitates mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and other countries. BECA’s invitation enables Ashesi to submit requests for visiting faculty from the United States to teach and do research at Ashesi, beginning in the 2006-2007 academic year. We are very grateful for this opportunity to strengthen Ashesi’s commitment to developing a world class education grounded in the liberal arts tradition. US faculty interested in joining our team during the 2006-2007 academic year should contact Ashesi at jobs@ashesi.edu.gh. We look forward to hearing from you.
