Ashesi Donors Help Provide More Housing for Scholarship Students

Last month we successfully met and exceeded our fundraising goal of $500,000 to complete an additional dormitory on campus. The new dormitory will allow us to provide housing for 80 more scholarship students on campus. We thank all of our generous donors who have contributed to this effort.

Student HousingSince 2002, Ashesi University, housed in rented buildings, has provided high quality education to students from across Africa. With the opening of the new campus, Ashesi establishes a place from which to expand its impact cultivating a new generation of citizens committed to positive change.

Last year, Ashesi University Foundation completed a $6.4 million campaign to complete phase one of construction for a permanent campus home. This fall, we will open the doors of our new world class campus to more than 540 students from diverse economic, ethnic, religious and national backgrounds.

Given Ashesi’s new campus location in a rural environment, scholarship students need on-campus housing to fully participate in the Ashesi experience. We strongly believe that when students from divergent backgrounds study, work and live together, the learning environment is richer for all students, and bridges are built that benefit everyone. It is thanks to our generous donors that we are now able to provide more housing to our scholarship students. Thank You!
