On Thursday, 14th November 2024, Ashesi University hosted the Ashesi Citi Dialogue in collaboration with Citi FM on the theme, “Scholarship, Leadership, Citizenship, and Nation Building.” The panel, held on Ashesi’s campus, was moderated by Citi FM General Manager and The Point of View Host Bernard Avle and featured Dr. Maame Mensah-Bonsu, Ashesi Law, Humanities, and Social Sciences Department Head; Brigitte Dzogbenuku, Mentoring Women Ghana Executive Director; Dr. Kojo Pumpuni Asante, Director of Policy Engagement and Partnerships for CDD-Ghana; and Ashesi Computer Engineering Student Ewura Ama Sam ’25.
Panelists engaged in a lively conversation about what it means to practice good citizenship in Ghana today, Ghana’s electoral process and upcoming elections, and how young Ghanaians can be active participants in the maintenance and advancement of democracy.
