Andrew Tarawali, who graduated in 2005 with a degree in business administration, says his time at Ashesi imbued him with a sense of mission. “we are the hope,” he says. “The world is going to be watching.”
Andrew was a scholarship student from Sierra Leone. He has since returned to post-conflict Sierra Leone and is now playing a leadership role in Ecobank, one of the largest independent regional banks in West Africa.
While at Ashesi, he participated in several banking and management internships, gaining real world skills in many aspects of best practices in banking, which he can now apply to his work.
