In November, Ashesi’s Business Administration Department invited Abena Osei-Poku, Managing Director of Ecobank Ghana PLC, for the Executive-in-Residence program. At the session, she shared reflections on leadership, ethics, and strategy in an era shaped by AI and rapid change, highlighting how leaders can remain human while navigating technological and organizational complexity.
The Executive-in-Residence program invites leaders from a range of institutions and industries to engage with students and share their experiences on leadership and other relevant topics.
To bring classroom learning to life, two students from the Competitive Strategy class, Christiana Amarh ’26 and Morro Sulleyman ’26, spent a day shadowing her at Ecobank. The experience provided them with firsthand insight into how thoughtful leadership, strategic clarity, and empathy inform decision-making in a major financial institution.
