2026 President’s Award Recipient, Jude Adom Amoah ’26

In Jude Amoah, the Ashesi community was blessed with the steady, assured, and selfless contribution of a young man with supreme self-awareness. Calm, curious, and cultivated, he excels at engineering applications just as much as he does at connecting with people. His active involvement in engineering projects on campus, applying theory to real-life problems, inspired several entrepreneurial pursuits.

Most prominently, he founded an artificial intelligence business in 2024. The firm’s product is an intelligent air-monitoring tool with an aerosol package designed to detect and address air pollution in the immediate environment. The product actively reduces the negative health impacts of air pollution on vulnerable individuals. He has taken advantage of numerous opportunities to build this promising enterprise: he is a student fellow of the Ashesi Health Incubator; he has participated in the Harvard Alumni Startup Bootcamp; and he recently returned from the United States, where he pitched his business to potential investors.

He played a critical role in the development of the Ashesi chapter of the A.R.M. Club. The club’s work, with support from its sponsor, the prestigious British technology firm, has boosted opportunities for many students to obtain industry-level exposure to artificial intelligence and robotics.

He joined the Ashesi Innovation Experience team as a coach, supporting high schoolers, some for the first time, to develop basic skills in computing and robotics. He carried this experience back into his own community where, with funding from a grant from the Coca-Cola Foundation, he developed and ran a robotics and electronics workshop for middle school learners. When he interned with a major mining firm, he assisted with troubleshooting motor and control faults, applying his flair for tinkering in one of the most challenging contexts.

His reassuring presence brings calm and confidence to any endeavor.

For attending to all tasks with a sense of duty; and for pursuing innovation and entrepreneurship with purpose, we present this award to JUDE ADOM AMOAH.
