Community Service
Apart from teaching and administrative duties, Ashesi employees find time to give back to society through our Citizenship Project. In 2010 we adopted the Shelter for Abused Children at Osu - Accra. Faculty and Staff spend at least two hours each fortnight with these kids to teach them basic Mathematics, English, painting skills among others.
Now that we have relocated to Berekuso, we will still have a relationship with the Shelter for Abused Children but our focus will be on engaging and partnering the Berekuso community in their development efforts. This could be in the areas of education, health, youth mentoring, etc.
It is a fulfilling experience for most faculty and staff and it re-enforces one of our core values of Citizenship.
